Playing Elder Kings in CK2 for the first time.Playing as a Roscrean guy conquering Atmora and Skyrim. So far it's ok, there are some things which are a bit weird to me, like the whole specialization thing which seems pretty random in how long it takes for you to level up.I have the animism religion which I'm starting to think very much sucks. The only positive is that I can vassalize and revoke everybody without angering my other vassals. Otherwise has no features. Dragon cult is probably cooler but with it I can't join the Greybeards. The current master of the greybeards is a fucking altmer which is ridiculous. Similarly, the current dragonborn is a random kamal snowdemon.Anybody has played this? Thoughts? How does it compare to the same mod for CK3 (I don't play CK3, just curious). It was either playing this or the AGOT mod for me.
>>2454835I only played it in CK3 and had a good time uniting the Reach against the subhuman n*rdmonkeys. There is magic in ck3 and a lot of religion stuff but I don't really know how it compares to CK2 elder kings. My issue with it is that you can only play in the early second era though I guess in other times the empire kind of dominates everything. The character models are amazing though.

Tamriel has been pretty unified for most of its history. Also the further back in time you go the less is actually known about the world. Making a game set in 1E would be opening a huge can of worms and require the devs to make a lot of stuff up (not like the mod as it stands is 100% accurate).
>>2454835I enjoyed doing a semi-world conquest with the Nord chads. I liked the Kamal bookmark, though Tiber was an impotent cuck who was too afraid to invade the Kamal so I did it myself. He should've had a scripted event chain to take it back.
>>2458123that would be an actually cool start date for a very sandboxy playthrough
