I've been stripping out mechs from a chinese mod that got a translation so its just an addon for moci basically
its been a pain in the ass so im just stopping after getting the three I mainly wanted (woundwort, barzam, and rehaze/rehyze)
i gave the woundwort the backpack skin tho which i think is neat

can i make a variant file of modules to have different weapon slots but they're built in?
I've tried but they wont show up at all
or am i forced to just have multiple modules for each loadout in the ship data

the .variant file just says what guns (or for modules, what variant) go in which slots, not what the slots are.

if you want to get fancy either make a hullmod with custom behavior or make a bunch of hulls/skins.

Oi, I know you people are averse to checking the trannycords, but someone made a program that converts Starsector and the mods' PNGs to DDS files. It reduces the use of VRAM by nearly 80%, at the cost of bigger files. Anyone checked it out yet? Do the altered textures work with Fast Rendering? Wanna know cuz I haven't been able to play the game in over 3 years.

I like it. Most of the executive officers are pretty balanced except for technical and warfare (in no situation is it bad to take either of these). There’s a surprising amount of cross mod support like sotf and jaydeepiracy adding one or more executive officers, not mentioning standalone mods that just add more executive officers.

is there any mod at all to control the weapons on a ship module?
