Ostranauts 1.0 is out todayanyone played this game? I'm having a blast, but some mechanics seem to be a little bugged still
>pixel graphicsNo thanks
I bought this just watching the store’s preview, it’s right up my alley. Unfortunately it’s extremely esoteric and the tutorial does not help much, do you know if there’s a good guide to get understanding of the systems? Also, I never really got far enough but assumedly if you can purchase parts and ships you can eventually build sections of the hull yourself, no? Or is it limited to systems and maybe flooring?
Why doesnit look like neo scav
>>2461958It’s from the same devs. Never played it but saw sseth’s video on it, was the gameplay actually deep? It seemed kinda fun but also retarded.
>>2461915Watch any let's play. It's esoteric enough that generally they give the rundown on everything, and they genrrally only do one game per major update. It's also pretty easy to understand once the basics click into place. You can buy parts but generally you scavenge and install things into your own ship until you have the equipment to haul in mostly intact wrecks and fix them up.>>2462029I would say it's more obtuse than deep. There's a lot to learn but once you get it it's not all that complicated. I haven't really delved into it since they added ship to ship combat though.
Can you save in this game? I don't want another "losing is fun lmao" shit
>>2462166Yes.It's not a losing is fun game unless you specifically restrict yourself for it to be that way. If anything you need to save until you really understand how everything works and even then you might want to reload if random bullshit happens.
>>2462166Not only can you save, but there's autosaving(every 15 mins) and quicksaving(F5)And if you want to cheat there's also a debug console (F3) with a help command(type 'help') that tells you what the available cheats are
I don't want to be that guy but its so woke it isn't funny. full of crazy blue hairs and they/thems. That said, it isn't even hard. Just make sure you have enough money starting out to buy a salvage license and you'll be swimming in money by the end of the first day.
>>2462295>make post-apocalypse game about a future where everything is worse>there are now more ugly gay peoplehmmm>you can pick from 3 pronouns>there's still only 2 physical body typeshmmm>you can choose to be a they/them >practically none of the characters want to romance they/thems so your emotions are always terriblehmmmIf you have a high enough IQ you can read between the lines what is really being said here
>>2461915I started learning how to play the game watching streams and YT videos, Rhadamant comes to mind for example his videos are good for learningyes, you can repair, deconstruct, rebuild, expand sections to your like>>2462166yes of course you can,and losing its not fun here>>2461958its a "undirect" sequel to neoscav, its the same universe
>>2462312Honestly the pronoun should be strictly aesthetic and all attraction should be based on body type.I don't care what they are, if they're cute and have the version of hole I want I'll go for it until they're no longer cute.
>>2462486based enbie enjoyer
I found the tutorial(s) (there's two at once) to be annoying
it really do be like that
>>2461858I'll get around to it after my dorf fort fix is over>>2462029Play neo scav. It's the best game set in my home state
>>2462486100%>t. had the wildest sex of my life with an nb girl during pride
wow great, we really need weird tranny talk sex in a video game thread. why not talk about your coprophagia next
I ate his asshole raw >>2463935
>>2461858Pronouns shit and half the characters looking like they/them ogres is annoying after a while, but everything else is pristine. They basically just took NEO Scavenger and slapped a plot-mandated wageslaving activity that made the game feel way less meaningless.I wish there were ways to speed it up, though. Especially with the AI, they're retarded and take orders poorly.
I'd kind of like them to do one more pass on the ships just to make some of the really bad ones slightly less bad.
>>2461858>I'm having a blast
