One of my bloodbath pattern pants broke completely and I evac'd with it without noticing.
I don't have the recycler unlocked yet, can you throw broken stuff in and still get something out of it? Simply trashing them doesn't sit right with me.

I took the ancom story mission after your return the data. was on my way out, free and clear with the mcguffin, went down the wrong corridor and died.

Good, but im sick of shitt rewards and tecko or whatever the starting quasis name is dogpilling conquests with insane missions. I finish a 4 floor rape fest and get a handful of pubes and some packed lunches.

>krav maga, the nothingburger meme jewish martial art that tries to hype itself up for such "revolutionary" ideas like "we hit sport-banned spots in reel battle and give circumcisions in training, noone could have thought of that", is the game's name for the passive skill/perk that improves a clone's unarmed combat instead of something believable like karate, no gloves boxing or Nanto Seiken

>>
>>2468103
To be fair, the book they use as a reference makes Earth's situation bleak from the get go. Even if they kept the goodness in that book, Humans are just twisted cattle who exist to radiate gavvahk courtesy of the Big G himself.
>>
>>2468182
Cannibalism is debatable, just that I heard an opinion that at least some incidents involving cannibalism among normal humans were more from getting mentally damaged after food poisoning. Of course it could always be just a case of "clones aren't people" or "he's been fighting for 12 minutes, of course he has to resort to cannibalism if he wants to survive". And it's usually bad for player unless he wants stronger demons on his ass. Btw does the clone start benifiting from higher levels of quasimorphosis if the player fits it with the quasimorph body parts?

>>2468202
I've read that the original author still writes that the devil WILL be defeated.

Krav maga is like the biggest and smallest thing here. It's a fringe nothingburger with only notable attributes is that it is being lauded "jewish martial art" and that its idea is "revolutionary jewish behavior" as if going for the kill is unthinkable for other martial arts in real combat applications, thus making it "superior". It randomly being the face of the unarmed combat in the game makes it the most believable that the someone on the team is a jew or a jewish dickrider.

>>
>>2468324
I know it's a golem class skill, dumbass, I am arguing against golems being able to outperform others in unarmed combat because their jewja masters shared their secrets of jewjutsu. They could as well swap perks with pack rats, for example. Rats get bonus to melee because "cornered rat attacks ferociously" and golems get the Harmful Symbiosis or what's it called (because jews need to keep the golems sedated).

Defeat in this case being Jesus Christ sneaking into Hell because Big G is too strong to fight directly and rescuing the Anti-Christ from Gagtungr's BDSM dungeon deprives him of his biggest source of gavvahk. After that everything falls apart like dominoes.

>try story mission in early access, get obliterated immediately
oh okay I'll just come back to them in midgame
>1.0, do AnCom's missions
>they tell me to bring down SBN's score, which I've been building up for the last 40 hours
>contact Xiomara
>tells me to get my reputation with RealWare up after I spent the last 40 hours going scorched earth on their asses

I was lucky enough to pass both missions on first try during this playthrough but now there's a brick wall in front of me.
also should mention that AnCom's second mission requires you to have electroguns but instead of making it explicit it in the briefing, the game misleads you by telling you that you'll be able to figure out what you'll need during the mission, except the mission is against a faction that never uses electric guns and thus you won't find any.
>>
>>2470165
You get 25 score change per mission (if you upgraded magnum fully), so you can max out a rep with a faction from -100 with 8 missions. And you can do target eliminations or intel recovery in 5-10 minutes....
Well, now when I'm typing it out, I guess it does take some time even if you know your stuff.
>>
>everyone's fucking awakening/unsealing/creating Gagtungr for one reason or another whether they want it or not
Imagine they make a storyline where you join Shedu's Thousand the only real-space faction whose leader explicitly and honestly wants to awaken Gagtungr without hiding it because of his newfound loyalty and it's like the first storyline that ends with you somehow making Gag's future life extremely painful. For him.
>>
>>2470173
I just don't like the idea of doing a 180 on a longstanding client and a longstanding enemy for seemingly no reason beyond my, as a player, knowledge that I'm "advancing a story".

AnCom is not telling me that at the end of this journey riches beyond my wildest dreams are waiting for me or anything like that. The game gives you no motivation whatsoever to do any of the story missions I've seen so far, if anything, every time Jane opines on what you're doing she says that it's a waste of time/unnecessarily dangerous/a betrayal waiting to happen and she's proven right every time, immediately - you're never actually baited before the switch happens. How did they make a game about amoral capitalist mercenaries and then not give them even a promise of a material incentive to follow?
>>
>>2470179
Good point and compelling argument. Frankly, participating in any story mission is basically self-sabotage (beyond unlocking Phase bomb).
Now that the game is 1.0 it will never change though.
>>
>>2470179
>I just don't like the idea of doing a 180 on a longstanding client and a longstanding enemy for seemingly no reason beyond my, as a player, knowledge
But anon, an aeons old quasispider full roastie told you to do it, will you really give up just because you undeservingly think you know better than her?
>>
>>2470185
Adding two new active factions and a brand new bramfatura in a formerly safe zone is fun and content. And Shedu's Thousand looks like one of the best factions in terms of style, since it employs both humans and quasimorphs equally. And it doesn't look like a lazy resking of Tezktlan like the Feathered Masks.
>>
>>2470189
doing bizarre things on Teztclan's or Xiomara's behalf can be justified somewhat because you know from the get-go that they're a weird alien threat and there are no rules when this sort of thing is involved. I can suspend my disbelief to perceive my PMC commander entering a Lovecraftian bargain with a world-ending threat. It's much harder to justify sticking with AnCom after they treat you like shit and then betray you because they're presented as just regular corporate assholes.

another thing I would add to the bitching pile when it comes to these "raise arbitrary stat to an arbitrary number" in-between missions is that this is supposed to be a hyper-capitalist society. We should be able to just TRADE for whatever shit we want. Yeah, sure, if they hate us they'll rip us off, but I don't see a point in being railroaded into having good/bad relationship with various entities when minimal effort could have highlighted the setting's somewhat unique nature.
>>
>>2470191
>and a brand new bramfatura in a formerly safe zone is fun
You get one more on Saturn after you conclude one of the main questlines, but whatever.
You get your forever post-game with more toys, but as far as narrative is concerned - you have destroyed the world and everything you do is pointless.

I've only completed xiomara questline, and the part of ancom that was still incomplete in 0.9
How do the other story compare in difficulty? I want the easiest one for my unfair run
>>
>>2470179
I dunno, the story missions all effectively being a trap that just makes things worse for everyone is fairly on theme.
>>
>>2470205
I meant that unless you really like the Tezctlan rep (and Civil Res?) or hate being friendly with Realware, Xiomara's questline rather quickly gives you 2 new factions, a new bramfatura and the engine without your rep getting tanked anywhere important (first Oasis mission will get your rep with Realware tanked if you lose it, but if you bring a few mines and maybe a turret it shouldn't be a problem to clear). After that you can just stop doing plot missions for her. Though those fucking plot missions might be a problem actually. Devs should add a function to be able to ignore plot stuff on stations in favor of doing normal stuff, like bartering or conquering them for some faction .
>>
File: BFGdoom.png (599 KB, 482x610)
599 KB PNG
>>
>>2470534
my problem is that the trap exists only on a meta level and there's no trap in-universe. It would have been simple and perfectly reasonable to expect a game about amoral capitalist mercenaries to have a story about getting over your head and potentially dooming the entire universe due to greed, but that's not the driving force of any of the plots.
You're told ahead of time that the missions you'll embark upon are dangerous by Jane and the game's interface (so, no trap). You're not promised riches, or secret tech, or anything cool by your employers (so, no bait). The only reason to do story missions is that they're there and doing story missions is what players do in video games.
People talk shit about Spec Ops: the Line all the time, but that game's whole story revolved around messing with players' expectations when you unthinkingly Just Do What the Game Tells You and it backed the metanarrative with pressure within the actual narrative. In Quasimorph, there's no pressure, no bait, trick, no trap, no nothing.
If that's the case, why have a story at all? The game's fun enough on its own. They should have taken a page out of Battle Brothers' book and done something like crises instead. Alien invasion, an all-out corporate war, something like that.

just pack a few cans, you'll have plenty of space with buffalo. Even in the early game, plastic is plentiful so you should be able to craft stacks upon stacks of moo-moo.
The actual reason to use other backpacks is dodge percentage. Now that I don't have to scrounge for every piece of loot, I've reverted to the starting Tourist, which gives me extra 12%, but Sunlight Coven's late game backpack is easily the best option. And yes, I'm bringing two +1k cans on every mission.
another thing is that you can do is cut active perks that destroy your satiety. Angel of Spades, for example, comes with a really shitty perk that will starve you to death if you try to camp.

>>2470534
Honestly I'm just not a big fan of rape stories myself so hearing Tiomara mpregs you is really disgusting, even though I gather it's more Chestburster or metaphorical live birth q-lapse the way it happens to people. So that immediately turned me off of her campaign story even though I'd love to fight the shedu thousand. I know it's small potatoes but I just don't like it. I'll be fine with the other grimdark scenarios.

>>2470165
It doesn't take long to reverse it. It's +25 rep for a complete mission. So if you tanked it to -100 it's 4 missions to bring it to neutral, 4 to max it. I might be wrong and it's 20 rep in which case 5/5.

Some Tips
>Check your doors and your corners. Make sure you have full AP and are on run for corners.
>Open doors diagonally so you can step out of sight. If you are facing a door when you open it you might still be in view.
>When you think there might be enemies in the next room and the door is recessed, it might be better to shoot out a wall than try and open the door.
>Sometimes you can cut through a wall to get to the elevator when you've cleared the floor or are trying to get to your objective.
>If you are playing a defense mission and have brought turrets, sometimes its better to bring some extra ammo and remove the walls so they have a clear line of fire.
>Shooting the wall next to a door will also destroy the door.
>The reload bonus from putting a weapon in your third weapon slot from a helper backpack and the bonus from reloading from a quick slot on your vest stack.
>If you are using a helper to carry and extra weapon or just want to keep your weight down, carry a buffalo in your inventory and loot once you've cleared the area or achieved your objective on the last floor.

I think Krav Maga just has an aesthetic of "realism" and practicality or whatever over chink shit like karate and that's why it would be used as a name of a melee skill in some games. It doesn't matter if it's actually just as fake and gay, it's literally just aesthetics and getting mad over it is super autistic.
What's the alternative? BJJ? It just doesn't sound as good, it's not that deep.

Nah, the destruction is on. I have 2 Venus stations under my control and there are still plenty of those without missions. Will try to play more and see if they let me destroy Tezctlan later in the sandbox. Are there a max of active (sabotage, attack, spying etc.) missions for factions? Could explain why the scanner for mission generation isn't working.

Had a game where a battle droid did a bit better recently and actually killed 1-2 enemies but lol.

how the fuck am I suppose to heal this? Hydrogel bandages clear burns, but this specifically says (poison) and has a poison icon so do I just spam med packs on it and hope it heals or what
>>
>>2477662
Your run is probably fucked, but I've found mine and the RNG of getting a good run making it so I can have the pain and HP to tank its initial stunlock spam until I can get a shot in and instagib it. Like xcom2 I don't like how much Quasimorph requires alpha striking, at least in the mid game. Later on and aside of cryo I'm feeling able to deal with even stunlocking lightning, but the spectre of alpha striking is still rather there.

I stand on the position now that the genetic upgrade priority is HP to 200, pain resistance to 20, then either pain resist to 30 or HP to 300, but once HP Is 300 pain resist to 40.

Everyone but the hexarchs. They have bases on earf so they can 't be smote.

>>2477006
At a certain point aside of chips or augs, you'll not really want to bother with loot because you can just passively rely on mission rewards. That'll be late-ish game though, tech level 4-6 for me.

>>2478089
Medpack yeah. If your stomach is upsetti then it's medpack or morphine or anything to expedite the healing.
>>
>>2478089
Pretty sure hydrogel bandage heals poison wounds? I think you're confusing the poison status effect and the poison wound, sorbent would just clear the poison status but you'd still have the wound

Is Xiomara of the feathered masks suppose to be an ally or an enemy of humanity? I just summoned her into Venus on the thinking of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend (fuck tezctlan)"
>>

it doesn't say it does in game and it doesn't say it does on the wiki. I tried it once but it failed (though I know it's not 100% even if it does).
You straight up just don't have a reliable way to treat chemical burns in the early game before you can craft medical glue, shit sucks.

just unlock class development shit... modifying existing classes, (but not for anyone who currently has the class) seems like the worst possible way they could've implemented this. You lose the original class set up AND you have to start a merc fresh to use it. Should just allow you to actually make brand new class chips and name them yourself.

I'm currently on a death spiral (new player, playing on default hard since it's the actual normal mode/intended experience with default 100% modifiers). Had a good run, my "main" clone died because of a fuck up, second clone died again and lost more items and then a third, fourth.... I initially thought I could easily complete 1 skull diff missions on absentia areas but the enemies are too many and I just get outgunned before completing the objective. Each battle was clutch though a survival scenario while I pillage their weapons and armor replacing my emergency case equipments. The bandage and Splints/medkits took a toll on my supplies though (yes I'm using plastic and rags when they run out). Then when I'm at my wits end I looked up that difficulty ranking is mostly a lie and there are many factors influencing it. I guess I'll wait for she-wolf to regen from getting killed and try another run.

you need to use a shock weapon and hit them with 100% shock, use something light and piddly so you don't kill him. it will convert the enemy into an ally then it turns into an escort mission back to the elevator.

do you just stand in the open while a group of enemies are shooting at you and try and just try and kill them one by one or what the fuck are you doing? is this your first video game? Objects and walls actually provide you cover. If you go out of line of sight enemies just run up on like lemmings to get killed the second they turn the corner
>>
>>2478285
the economy is fixed
>>
>>2478322
I can clear them fine but just get grinded down by the hordes of enemies. Like for example I cleared a whole horde of enemy, I turn to the corner to loot the corpses but there's still some enemies alive. Simple fuck ups which ends the current run. Or running out of decent healing options after mowing down hordes of enemies in floor 1-2 and floor 3. Simple beginner mistakes which can cause death. Plus the added effect of not having a mission win in a long time which makes the decision making go bad (such as planning to save medkits and just bringing 1 bandage and 1 splint for 1 run). Like I stated in the post it was an intense fight most of the time for a 1 skull difficulty (which I didn't expect before checking it up), I didn't mention that it was unfair or anything. I basically got most of the basics, but minor mistakes cost me the runs due to impatience.
>>
>>2478365
also once you leave mars and qausimorphs start spawning just walk away and let them and the corpos sort it out
love going into a room and being like "i'm just gonna scooch past you guys if that's alright" as they tear each other apart
>>
>find a badass endgame gun on a diltheythem
>it's total dogwater compared to my max damage TL3 conventional SMG
upgrading anything besides TL3 weapons until very late game is the biggest noobtrap. 16 upgrades on a good TL3 weapon is far more valable than 10-12 on a TL6, let alone the 0 you can do on higher TL due to never having chips.
>>
>>2478365
Just stop making the dumb mistakes lol
>planning to save medkits
Medkits are free and you can craft from the start on normal. 1 stack of meat, 1 stack of rags and another of plastic = 5 medkits so 5 missions until you need to refill
Also always keep an eye out for bottles, explosives and acid (dismantle batteries and poison ammo), if you run into a workbench later to make Molotovs or smoke/nail bombs, it'll make your life much easier when you spot a room filled with enemies
>>
>>2478382
I was just taking stacks of 5, but i found better heals. I just can't make them yet.
>>
>>2478380
Eh, that damage looks pretty weak even for many unupgraded guns. I guess its strength supposed to be the rare type of the damage?
>>
>>2478395
well it's a TL9 smg, it has alot more damage on paper per AP than stats suggest. but the main issue is entropy as a special damage doesnt stun like shock/ion/cold/cryolazer so it just sucks. and its also why piercing 12 gage flechette is the best ammo in the game combined with autoshotguns, which you then pair with a good status effect weapon for guaranteed stun

I accidentally triggered a baron ambush (first baron sighting) in my second mission post comeback (I managed to win one mission after this post). I forgot I was not in Mars anymore and quasimorphs spawn now. I ate human meat like there's no tomorrow because my merc clone was hungry and the BGM changed. It was a scrivnus Baron. Luckily I was on a protect the object mission for the Unchained belt. Which means I brought a lot of turrets (1 flame thrower and 2 normal shooty turrets). I managed to first try kill the first baron that showed up lol. I'm still not sure if I can complete the mission since I've spent a whole lotta ammo killing the baron but I'll try to push through. Hopefully only one baron can spawn per mission. I can't resist eating human meat since it's so cheap. The flame thrower turret got destroyed by my Assault rifle's spread hits. I also wised up that plastics and rags are pretty good and cheap replacements for bandages/splints on the she-wolf merc.

How many sultans though? And I don't complain but unless he gets better in other missions that first Urparp fight makes him to be a bigger bitch than a regular baron.

>Doing well in mission so far, looting and pillaging during a robbery
>1 last item to steal and I'll be able to return home to my family in the Magnum
>Moves towards a blindspot and gets one shotted despite being heavily armored and full hp (she-wolf)
Welp that's fucked up but kinda my fault partially did not expect to get one shot by a random mook when I've been finishing the mission just fine. I will make sure to have 2 ap before moving to any blindspots in the future.
>>
The game finally clicked on me. I can reliably (60% chance or so) clear most missions with the emergency case equipment (pillaging from the killed enemy for gear) if my current main clone dies. The game is really fun specially when you've finally grasped the mechanics and your clone feels like an unstoppable merc mowing down countless targets. I no longer fear the higher difficulty (higher skulls) mission since there's barely any difference from 1 skull and a lotta skulls (you can still die from a stupid fuckup). I'm slowly branching out from my safe zone (quasimorph free zones in mars) into the quasimorph locations.
The best part currently in the game is the BGM when the Quasimorph counter increases. I plan to play my first playthrough as a full human (no pacts with quasis) and anti corpo (well the civil resistance hate me) but currently being a wagie for the corpos to get stronger (I plan to side with the UB Pirates).

How the hell do you make a melee character work? What class and clone perk preset? Feels like melee is kinda shit when guns can obliterate you from a mile away, especially on higher difficulties.

Use She-Wolf, give her nails to throw, i throw a robot arm/shouldre muscle upgrade on her to make her throwing more gooder, pick up guns on the run as needed for your sidearm. its actually kind of nice to pick up a gun, use it till its out of ammo, picking up the next one (or best one) and moving on.

Fuck. I'm currently trying to clear Ship of Ghouls and I'm well prepared with what I brought. What I wasn't prepared is the FOOD consumption is so high. I brought 3 full sets of canned food (1k calories, 2 item per set total of 6). And a moo-moo (5 pieces for 300 cal) for good luck charm food. I've cleared the dock (1st floor), and the arsenal so far (3rd floor). I'm currently at the engine room entrance and I'm OUT OF FOOD. I should've brought more food, I brought too many healing items and I thought the food would last me until mission end. Enemies barely drop food (unless you're counting human flesh but that'll increase the quasi meter and I'll put that as a last resort). I'm playing as Jan so no free human meat from she-wolf. I got meds to manage it but it'll be close..
>>
>>2480434
Not enough food from looting corpses? No stoves anywhere? Seems unlikely but fill up on human meat and just kill the baron
>>
>>2480434 (me)
WELP I fucking died due to getting stunlocked by the AMOGUS. I thought it was a melee attacker only. I got zapped (I have 0 electric resist because of implants sexbot head and legs) and I thought I wouldn't bother adding the shock wound immune since it only decreases my radiation and heat res but it doesn't even give the 25 elec res due to my elec res being so low (into the negatives). I thought "what are the odds I'll die due to getting SHOCKED", specially when I got wallhacks with my augments and Jan.
Fuck there were so many mistakes made, I did not bring enough food is the number 1 reason. Which made me go scavenger meat connoisseur. Which summoned a baronaz and I killed him easily after bunkering down. He helped me clear the engine room of Coreward personnel. Then when I was going to the actual engine to refuel it, I MISPLACED MY SNIPER RIFLE... IDK how I DID it but what I got equipped is a fucking WRENCH. I must have switched weapon when looting on the way there and probably ACCIDENTALLY disasemble it. Anyways, what's done is done since I only realized it when I was at the ENGINE room and the pirate allies (useless) arrived. Then a spawn of enemies happened, cleared them easily with my AR (retribution or something t8 AR). Mission objective UPDATED. Go to the command room and Kill the fuckers and you're almost done. When I was about to leave the engine room, there were 3 faggots waiting to ambush me. I killed them all due to knowing where they are. THEN AMOGUS APPEARED. No problem I've killed this a couple of times already, that anon who told me that I'll probably get stunlocked by this is probably overexaggerating... I JUST NEED TO KEEP MY DISTANCE in this barrel and the melee attack won't HIT me.
>Cue the WRATH of GOD RANGE shock attack
Fuck I'm stunlocked.
Fuck I'm dead.
10/10 would probably clear this on the 3rd try, AFTER I farm what I lost in that raid attempt. I'll ADD a shock wound immune implant the next time...
