Where is the general for games that have no general
you didn't tell me how much fun this game is
>>2468959Just make a thread for the game you want? Despite appearances, this isn't /vstg/ just /vst/
>>2468990I'm currently playing through various rtsImpossible Creatures, Castle Combat, Be Queen Be, Creeper World. Most of these would die without replies
>>2468976I tried CW4, but after playing Infested Planet a whole lot I didn't find it particularly stimulating. I'm cautiously curious about Calyx.
this mission was a bit of a bitch. No clue what the intended solution is>>2469076the demo is still up. My only issue with the demo missions was, that once you stabilize, the rest becomes cleanup.I guess this is true for most Creeper World scenarios as well.
>>2468959>Where is the general for games that have no generalIn /vg/ of course it's /civ4xg/
>>2469457>you have to make a multi game/multi genre general to survive on the gacha schizos boardsad to see it
>>2468976Weird lore of the game, but kind of interesting.
>>2468959Surprisingly liking Zero-K a lot despite not being a fan of the "there are no factions, you can build whatever you want/need" idea, but the game makes it work. Also enjoying its excuse of an sp campaign though other players spoiled that it has no satisfying ending, which is a shame. Started playing it after being tempo banned on BAR again. No Majesty and Brutal Legend in the picture, SAD!Also>some like them, some hate>Supreme Commander 2Does this one really have any sort of a fanbase? I thought it was largely regarded as a very disappointing sequel.>>2469474>sad to see itPeople used to be forced to post inane shit every hour if they wanted their slower thread to stay on veegee. Now it's like 4+ hours to be in danger. Still can't compare to their purity of the months-long discourses of /vst/, of course.
>>2469571Most agree it had cool experimentals and even the tech tree had some potential. I heard it has a small community going for a while with tournaments and everything, never paid it much attention though.
>>2469605Huh, interesting.
>>2469081yeah of course once you're stable it's just cleanup. otherwise you haven't actually stabilized.
I finally have an idea how to marry RTS and grand strategy genres. And it's really simple.Imagine a game like AoE, but with one tiny major twist: a messenger unit. You build a base, you control your armies, you can micromanage everything you want. But a building starts being built and an army starts marching only when a messenger arrives.Consequence: your direct expansion is naturally limited, so you'd want to expand indirectly. In a situation when you can completely destroy an opponent, you might instead offer them to become your vassal. Tax contribution, levies, trade redirection etc are tools on top on the good old RTS gameplay.I'm going to vibe code this shit and present a demo whenever I'll find a moment.
