>>2476494Compose yourself madam. Now to bring you up to speed this is a vidya or video games board. You got some of those or just came here to be edgy?
>>2477037is it fun?unlike other city builders it actually has a beginning middle and ending state, right? is it replayable?
>>2476478Good Lord. Truly one of the worst looking games I have ever seen. Including Atari 2600.

>>2477673Can't be that bad
>>2476337Rome wasn't real. It was a myth created by Europeans to justify imperialistic conquest.
>>2477884>>>/x/
Not darkswitch. It's a blatant frostpunk clone with shit UI, the blandest writing I ever saw and very janky gameplay
>>2477673Yeah it was always crap compared to the much more polished 1st game.I remember learning that the guy who programmed the incredible creature AI in B&W1 now works for some federal stuff.
I'm surprised I've never heard of a fantasy builder/logistic/production/management sim, other than Recettear I guessThere's so much potential you could pull off with having to manage different resources whilst trying to get different species of employees productive and stuff like that: like choosing whether to build an industrial district managed by efficient yet grumbling dwarves or by dangerous yet versatile gobbos, or something along those lines>>2477037I am mildly interested in this one as well
dungeon village?

>>2477673Yeah, B&W2 is a pretty underwhelming city builder with a bad military aspect. Even for it's time it felt kinda outdated. If it weren't for the name it would be forgotten among other shovelware of the era. Though lionhead while it still existed disavowed all games except fable anyway and bnw1 was also more of a cult classic and frankly not actually that good of a game. Everyone remembers the memes from first and second island that were an extended tutorial and had a lot of side quests, funny voice acting and all that. Not the slog of 3 or 5 where you spend hours watering trees because wood was the limiting factor for building houses and getting the reach into the next village.
>>2478999Really? Not even Timberborn?
>>2485674Sorta like that, but with more fantasy shit than plain kurwa bobrs
>>2485676Against the storm maybe? You have a bunch of races with a town ending with up to 3 of them and they are good at different things and have different needs. Many resources can be gained in different ways too so you are figuring out how to efficiently get to advanced goods playing to your strengths and what is available on the map.The gameplay is most notable for it's roguelite progression though where you try to combo to limp over the wincon in time, so it's less open ended and you don't get much time to build a town.
>>2486250Oh I've played it but I don't really consider it a traditional comfy citybuilderA lot of the later stuff especially feel more like puzzles rather than management challenges, where you kinda run it once to see what the bullshit is and then
>>2479024>KairosoftIt's impressive how much they recycle between most of their games, and then they'll strike out with something that's actually slightly interesting, only for that to either not be further developed at all, or become the next thing to constantly recycle.I'll take a gamble on one of their titles every once in a while. It's usually shit, but sometimes you get a game that you can play for 10+ hours that makes it slightly worth it. For a couple of bucks per since it's just old-school mobile games at old-school mobile prices it just barely makes it worth it. Don't really get how they stay in business when the rest of the market doesn't really do this sort of stuff anymore.
>>2478999Sound like Songs of Syx. Didn't get far in that, but managing fantasy races and resources in a city builder is the entire premise there.
>Don't really get how they stay in business when the rest of the market doesn't really do this sort of stuff anymorenipp economy isn't beholden to normal market forces

I kinda liked Leviathan's Fantasy, though it was more like a grindy Majesty clone than a full city builder.Too bad the Chink studio making it got banned from Steam (twice!) for posting bot reviews of their own games.
>>2490383chinks do be like that
>>2476337Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
>>2490868I didn't know Soviet Russia was a fantasy world.
