Which one do I buy?
both
>Manor LordsA historically authentic city-builder>Farthest FrontierA tower defense game, that larps as a city-builder
One is handled by a lazy dev that refuse to address the game issuesThe other is handled by lazy devs that refuse to address the game issuesFarthest frontier because crate's attempt is earnest, manor lords was astroturfed to hell and back thanks to hooded horse's connections
>>2484326You torrent both.
Manor Lords
>>2484326neither, AI will make better games within 3 months.
>>2484326Farthest frontier never really clicked for me, but I got it bundled with grim dawn. While I enjoy manor lords and it's gotten a big update I would perhaps wait until more of the town perk system is in place unless you really like making aesthetic towns.
>>2484326I bought both and I suck at them. Thanks for the reminder OP.
>>2484326topin 10 years when its done
>>2484398>>2484649Both of these are correct. I played both and I can never go back to FF but tried, bought, and I am still playing Manor Lords.
Final frontier is okay, played a settlement to roughly year 100. All challenge is gone by that point but it looks comfy. Manor lords might be something one day. Right now its very basic and progress is slow and longstanding issues are not being fixed.
Farthest Frontier is pretty comfy to me but the tower defense part is pretty meh. I'm tired of medieval settings though.
>>2484326Manor lords, or maybe Ostriv?
>>2484651This, but unironically. And that speaks more about those two games than the capacities of current-month AI
>>2484326I wish Manor Lords didn't have the retared bartering system. Ruined the game for me unfortunately.
>>2485081>Ostriv?literally no combat at all, how is that even a strategy game?
>>2485421Bartering is atrocious. I just trade goods between territories through trading posts and it works fine
