Is EU5 good yet?
>>2486033I'm wondering the same thing lol, I was very hyped for the game, then it came out and everyone was shitting on it so I held out on buying it to this day. Might wait for a sale
>>2486033>>2486513Not yet. Every country plays the same at the moment. Wait until there's more content imo.
people should stop giving paradox their money. buying their halfbaked shit on day 1 or even year 1 is why they never (want to) learn. if nobody bought they would maybe start releasing finished products.
>>2486647>>2486033in the next version, they're going to remove hourly ticks in favor of boosted performancethis is bad because it strips an aspect of simulation, and only serves to boost game performance for poorfagsbut if you're a eu4 baby or haven't played it yet, you probably don't care about simulationas always, only piratenever buy
>>2488758>I want my game to be less funthis is what simulationfags saythey forget it's supposed to be a game and not an hour-by-hour simulation of the tiny insignificant and useless details
>>2489206the game wouldn't be more fun by removing hourly ticks, i can tell you that
>>2489206>hour-by-hour simulation of the tiny insignificant and useless detailsthe fuck you think makes it actually fun? staring at a fucking map?
>>2486033its even worse actuallyi dont think it will ever be good, you just might find something you like within the bloat
it still needs more time in the oven but it's already much better than when it released. It's pretty fun to plan your economy and the simulation obviously has a lot of potential but every nation lacks flavor and content. There's also no reason to keep playing after the 1600's because the age of absolutism is a fucking drag with the court & country disaster and the little ice age. I don't know what paradox was thinking with that
>>2486033lollmao even
>>2488758>this is bad because it strips an aspect of simulation, and only serves to boost game performance for poorfagsnah, it's a good thing, completely unused in the game>>2489811it would increase the performance and therefore be more fun
>>2490395for children that use speed 7 most of the time, sure, i guess it would benot for the rest of us that want to slow time down whenever we go to war and the map is divided into tiny pieces that involve delicate timing to move inbetween when dealing with nearby opponents
>>2486033Ignore the malding ADHD addled eu4 zoomers that don’t have their mission tree slop – 4 million years/minute needs catered to. It’s fine now, still in that weird little/no flavor content state every pdx game has in the start. But the base game itself has enough that I’m not completely bored either.
It's not. To this day the game is still constantly flip-flopping between balance changes to the economy, regulars, centralization, manpower, trade, proximity, control and other mechanics. They haven't figured out what they want. The game started out with youtubers being given exclusive access and they reported that the game featured a very profitable trade mechanic and very strong bailiffs. They nerfed these things on their advice, before the game was even released. But this had a horrible cascading effect, where all of the game's system were built on players and the AI have access to a lot of trade income. By nerfing that the AI was completely broken in the beginning and just wasn't able to do recruit a lot of regular troops, which caused players to dominate the post early game.TO THIS DAY the pendulum has only swung back and forth and hasn't rested. The devs still don't know exactly how they want their game to work.
>>2488758> in the next version, they're going to remove hourly ticks in favor of boosted performanceI was on the fence before but now I will just never buy it, I don’t play shit where they remove content and mechanics. Make it work or re-do the game, fuck this shit I’m out.
>>2488758It drives me crazy how many performancefags are on the Paradox forums begging the developers to not make the games better
>>2486033I think it's good. About to hit 1600 in my Dithmarchen game.
>>2496131Dont know if thats bait but in what world is the rate of ticks content or mechanics? I agree with the sentiment but thats retarded. For what its worth eu5 has been enjoyable if janky since release
>>2486033Look at the player countYou tell me
>>2486647>Not yet. Every country plays the same at the moment. Wait until there's more content imo.Given current PDX timelines, this means come back in five to seven years.
