Anyone here who played this game and would love a discussion about it? Of all the strategy games I've played, this game finally fullfilled my need of a "realistic" historical sim with great domestic and a good battle system. It's a fine balance between the Paradox Games' abstraction and Total War reliance on battles. Managing your territories is just as hard as conquering them. Tried to get into the sequel but didn't like the battle system turnes from a primitive Total War-like to just Warcraft II's RTS single units.
Played it decades ago. Don't remember much other than cows being important.
Played the third game which came out in the mid 00s but it was different than the OG games. I liked II when I went back and played it as an adult, didn't play I. Felt like II actually captured the medieval period quite well having to rotate workers and such. Didn't really care for the battles much but I suck at rts though.
I loved II and lords of magic as a kidYou can get II for a song on steam and its well worth itI wish they would do a sequel, but its impossible for this kind of tone to be replicated today I guess
Idk man, I think I would rather just play Med 1 XL then.
