Should I get Civ5 or Civ6?
>>
The definitive Civ experience is Civ 2 space victory into SMAC. The peak of the series.

Can't stand Civ 5. Civ 6 with Gathering Storm is really good for a couple of campaigns, though I found the amount of busywork trying to line up inspirations and tech boosts gets tedious.

My bad I meant Rise and Fall, I forgot there were two major DLCs (besides leader/civ packs) for the game. The base game feels a little barebones without them.

no cap, unc??
>>
Might as well ask, what mods should I get for Civ6?
>>
>>2492879
most of the popular ones from the first 5 pages
>>

do you rike tall? 5
do you rike wide? 6

You should kill yourself

i like civ5
>>

Civ5>Civ5 modded>Civ4>Civ6
Civ 6 is essentially a puzzle game pretending to be a strategy game and on top of that it looks like it was made for Cocomelon

I HATE that this 'tall is the only viable way to play' redditor revisionist-history coping-about-civ-vii discourse is now standard when discussing this game. The ONLY time you need to stick to 4-city-tradition/hyper optimized is when playing on Deity. Every other difficulty up to Immortal you can get away with 6-8 cities MINIMUM by taking advantage of resource trades, policies and actively going for city-state quests.

I second this.

Civ 6 has more under the hood and better gameplay compared to 5 but the over exaggerated caricature art style is not everyone's cup of tea, I would argue also that Civ5's atmosphere (from menus, sounds, icons to animations) has bigger appeal
Both games have banger soundtracks (6 has a gimmick where your civ theme song evolves over time)
I prefer 6 over 5
t. 720 hours on 5
t. 983 in 6

>Shitantine reeks
>Roman

Lol, lmfao even
>>
>>2492645
If you like to build an actual empire and stick correctly to history go for 6
If you enjoy micromanaging 4 cities and doing nothing go an entire game go for 5
