Because Holostars at their inception was doomed to fail. Cover built its brand on idol-like female vtubers which means no men allowed. Then they saw Nijisanji mixed gens doing numbers and thought that they could just create a male branch and become Nijisanji without realising that it would cannibalise everything about Hololive.

Holostars were meant to simultaneously mix with the girls and then also meant to stay far far away from them. They got mixed signals from fans, management and their own gen mates. They never had a solid identity and were only given life through their proximity to Hololive and Yagoo’s desperation to please shareholders who looked at Nijisanji and said they wanted whatever they were doing. If Holostars were built to be a standalone male only branch like FSP EN, they would have faired much better. So I feel nothing watching them fail because I know I’m going to be a no-girls-allowed vtuber.

You should check your settings and review to see if you can scrape functionality that way. Streamlabs (iirc) is just built off of OBS with more processes, so you shouldn't be experiencing better performance unless your settings somewhere along the way is causing the inefficiency, but that's an arm chair analysis from me.

I've been getting a lot more viewers lately, averaging around 200-300 CCV per stream, but donations have still been low across the board so I've been getting a bit frustrated. Anyone have any tips to monetize my viewerbase better? Short of directly yelling at them to donate more to me every time I stream I'm not sure what I should be doing.

Also I think part of the problem is there's one guy who makes big donations like $1000/month and people see that and go "wow she must be swimming in money" without realizing that's like half of my monthly income right there. I'm making less than a burger flipper when all's said and done and if that guy ever leaves I'm just fucked. I've sometimes considered doing the monthly donation bar goal thing but is that considered too e-beggy or grifty? With a 200-300ccv we can assume a safe 250CCV
If the pareto principle is in effect in your audience, that means that currently you have 50 good people giving you enough donations, and you are aiming to make more people donate
The problem is that we have rules about work here, but this isnt the right place to apply those formulas here, because how do you motivate viewers to donate?
How do you get people who haven't donated to do so? Isn't it simple? Give them means or reasons to do so, obviously
But how do we give viewers these things? Either you install a system to reward donors, or find a way to make people want to get jobs to then donate to you

Nview refers to a streamer with CCV with N digits. 1 is 1 view. 10 is 2 view. 100 is 3 view. And so on.
