>>112843295Yeah that's true. As part of Luxiem, Ike had a pretty big following. The outrage when he reconnected with Doki was massive (some tweets about it hit over 10 million interactions), but there was also a ton of understanding fans who seemed to actually care about him specifically and was fine with it as long as he was ok. Mysta didn't really have the same type of audience as Ike since he didn't even attempt to interact with the JP side. Outside of Saba and Ike (if he even counts) though I can't think of any ex-corpo with a particularly large japanese presence. I know Doki has a surprisingly large chinese/hong kong following, as well as a decent following in Korea of all places. I can't stress enough how far her China connections seem to go though. She's always going to China and coming back with insane stories and photos about meeting devs or working with gigantic studios. Mint's got a bunch of japanese fans from both her time as Pomu AND as Mint, but they're mostly among other content creators or JP idols. (She's always been your oshi's oshi). You won't see her as a regular on 2ch or anything, though. Every time she goes to Japan, she finds more people who knew her from either her idol days or followed her since Pomu. She has a ton of contact info now for most of the JP idols she's gushed about since her original debut.
