The attempts at HoloPro unity were only pissing off unicorns who make up a lot of the JP fans who buy merch. I think Yagoo made a case of continuing with EN unity (mainly with Mori, Shiori, and ERB). Cover doesn't really care about unicorns but they do care about merch sales. The EN market is less hostile to unity but they have to avoid losing CGDCT fans who specifically watch Hololive for that type of content. Refusing to stream and having more HoloPro collabs was the combination that caused most of the backlash in 2022. I would say that 2026 might be different but management really needs to settle all the behind the scenes fight with the EN branch. If they don't they will have the exact same complaints as they did 4 years ago.

>>112852789They downgraded from World Tour to a super karaoke, sadly. Which means cheaper tickets, but strangely less demand. The casual fanbase confuses me, maybe they've just lost the spark for vtuber idols, or maybe it's the overlap with the iron rrat and the other weird "idol" show going on right around the same time. A lot of smaller acts are trying their best to cannibalize the Hololive market.
