HoloEN concert status? How well is this doing?
>>

I don't know, I don't watch Hololive
>>
>>113064990

>>

>>
>>113065074
Good, there's too many. Maybe they could have something later in the year only for talents who feel like joining instead of a branch-wide thing or something, but the two part combo with fes just a few months ago is way too much.
>>
why are holoCHADS not buying tickets?
>>
>>113065074
I think it's obvious that Mori has been dooming and shilling this concert so fucking hard because she's the one that's actually in charge of it and she's so desperate for it to succeed not because it will make or break HoloEN but because it will make or break her own career.

Other holos have been stressed about preparations and dance practice but nobody other than Mori has had such a professional obsession with the concert and its prospects.

>>
>>113065374
Whoever planned that is a retard.
>>
>>113065343
Not him but is it really that surprising that major events hosted in the US are becoming untenable?
>Tariffs and exchange rates inflate expenses for the company
>venues and legal considerations already difficult coordinate because of timezone differences and language barriers
>open political unrest and police crackdowns erupting unpredictably across the country
>record low tourism rates means fewer people willing to travel to attend
>global economic downturn and travel prices reduce travel and luxury spending on top of that.
These are expensive and risky prestige events that Cover can point to in order to say "look at our western market penetration" but with costs and risks rising, attendance stooping and Cover's global growth stalled by political and economic circumstances beyond their control there just isn't really much point in keeping it yearly.

ONE TIME IN A LIFETIME
>>
>>113065476
Ultra retarded. But they planned it for that time because some anime convention is on at the same time I think. One of the US en's should've fuckign fought for them to NOT hold it during the 250th july 4 + world cup etc., etc.
>>
>>113065507
>>113065897
Big combo of these. Plus I don't even know why they want to do it during AX when the convention basically hates them anyway due to all their schizoid clauses and non-compete things. They don't even have a booth, just advertising shit like a maid cafe and merch partners. Somebody in their management team just loves sucking off California.
>>
>>113065074
>only
>>
>>113065897
It's a double edged sword. They probably figured that if people are going to be there anyway for various reasons, they will be more likely to also go for the concert. A lot of euros and people from all over the world in general came for the world cup, some of them are holo fans who will use the opportunity to see the concert as well.
Yeah, it means that the hotel prices will be higher, but I'm not so sure whether the attendace is higher or lower because of all the events.
>>
>>113065074
Good, let's see if holoEN survives another year outside Japan.
>>
>>113064990

80% each night is disappointing.
2024 Breaking Dimensions was 100% both nights with 0% total unsold
2025 AFO was probably about 90% so that means 20% went unsold.
2026 is looking like 40% of the total tickets going unsold.
based on projections and history, 2027 EN concert if they have one will be 60% unsold

Retard if 10% is unsold each night = total of 20% that also goes to 180% ticket is sold in total.
>>
>>113072973
Let each night have 100 tickets each.
There are two nights, so 200 tickets total.
90% of each night sold is 90 + 90 = 180 tickets.
180/200 = 90%

Please go back to school.

I kinda hope it fails just enough to shake things up, When nerrisa sperged out a few minutes ago I decided I'm not even buying a stream ticket, I'll keep an eye on the yt feed for interesting one off streams but I'm probably going step back from this shit for a while, see if it blows over or not, I've just found myself getting annoyed by the direction of a bunch of stuff lately and being annoyed at what a bunch of anime puppets do isn't worth my time and attention.

Having more events in the west as opposed to the nth event in Japan is cool and all. But goddamn has there been way too many large scale concerts or events. It has completely eaten up streaming time and just general downtime for the talents. I've seen many tweets and heard many woes about how they're all on an extreme time crunch and jam packed with strict deadlines to really have any moment to breathe. And this is coming from someone who loves seeing them thrive in these big events and seeing all their hard work pay off. Hololive has strayed too far from their original purpose of providing entertaining streams for their viewers that it's burning out both avid watchers and the talents themselves.

She's not in charge of it, she was talking about trying to give some pointers to the people in charge of it. But she's dooming to guilt people into buying tickets, and she probably realizes that if all of EN struggles to sell out just two (2) concerts, Cover will never give Mori that concert tour she wanted.

It's worst than that. Hololive ended up destroying everyone connected to their largest vtuber talent for an entire year before they eventually got to her(her oshi, her best friend, her closet vtuber friend, half of a vtuber group she was a part of; another half of another vtuber group she created; even the support who helped act as a bridge between EN and JP.

Gura was one of the few vtubers in Hololive who actually brought Hololive merch behind the scenes as a fan and they broke her.
>>
>>113084860
last years was the worst of the EN concerts so far and no one in my friend group I went with liked it. Crowd was super low energy compared to the previous ones. If i were to guess where the start of the current woes for EN began, it would be with that one.

No one has said that all the concerts are optional and some of them would skip Holofes and the main EN concert if they could. Even stuff like Holosummer (and Valentine's Day merch) was mandatory in the early years or they wouldn't have been able to get every single talent to join. Cover has recently started letting talents have more control over what they can join but even in 2026 they still forced talents to join the first and last day of ENreco. The constant merch shilling and sponsorships have increased in Hololive. Most talents are okay with that but talents working as contractors doesn't mean that management doesn't have expectations for how much revenue they should bring into the company.

>>113084860
The 2025 concert was the first EN concert that had 10% of their tickets available on the last day while the 2026 concert will have 20% of their tickets available. The graduations did hurt the EN branch and there is a good chance they will reduce the venue size for 2027.
>>
>>113086705

To date, 3 girls have skipped Holofes and 2 of them are still in Hololive
>>
>>113086705

It was also the biggest, with 6k seats x2 days. Both the other ones had 6k seats once, and 3k seats 2x.
They were also rather expensive, but the show still sold well and turnout was good.

>The graduations did hurt the EN branch
The graduations happened last year. Being in a meme city during a holiday with high flight costs and a weak yen hurt it for everybody, domestic and foreign. If graduations were more than 10% of the missing ticket sales, you'd have seen it last year.
