I haven't really thought about it much but it's probably a combination of anime aesthetic and the whole package together. Anime girls are always drawn attractive (unless specifically drawn to not be attractive and even then it depends). Most flat 3D girls aren't attractive (at least not to anywhere near the same degree).But more to the point, yes flat girls exist IRL, but the whole combination of flat + clean (e.g. no tattoos, no piercings) + attractive + decent personality/sense of humour/hobbies is far rarer.
