It looks like there are no new faces, and the whole scene is the same people either going corporate or re-debuting as indies. I can’t remember new vtubers that became somewhat big without being big or at least noticeable previously. Also, as some big names leave, it doesn’t look that other streamers grow their viewers, which might suggest that it’s mostly the same people following most of the big names of the scene, and the overall fanbase is also stagnant at best and not growing. In case I’m wrong name vtubers that became somewhat big in past 2025-26.

Skill issue, I'm having fun watching my small corpo.

if you are watching big or mid tier corpo - yes
if you are watching indie or small tier corpo - yes
>>
It has already peaked. In my opinion alot of people just grew out of vtubers and have either left or just stick to 2 maybe 3 streamers.

I like to argue that the thing that's preventing growth is that they're all doing the same exact streams. They play the same games, have the exact same persona's and oh God sitting through 2 hours of yapping before the actual stream starts.

idk I'm having fun watching my 30view
One day you'll realize that a lot of stuff goes through cycles of expansion and contraction/pruning, and that that's just natural. Vtubing is simply still a bit bloated to support its own weight, so it needs to slim down before the rejuvenation comes. Or somethin
>>
>>113515711
Barriers to entry got lowered by a ton, so you're probably clicking on far less new streams as your general assumption of good visuals is met with terrible actual streaming. Influx of new chuubas is still very high, but to me it seems like the hobby requiring less enthusiasm on a technical level, less time commitment and no longer being a financial burden, it seems to draw in far more low effort slop.

For the content I like, the incentives for active chuuba discovery also disappeared as there is usually far more stuff I know I'll enjoy than I actually have time to spend.

Sounds like your own fault for putting value on numbers. I'm having more fun than I did five years ago.

who cares tho

not like numberfags are watching any streamers anyways

My bit is that there is no growth, and if you have some talent to be entertaining and funny, you polish it in a year or two, and it makes you happy because you see yourself growing, but then all you can do is play another fotm game, collab, and do some singing/dancing if you can. I see this shit being frustrating if you live this way for three to five years because even at McDonald’s, one can grow from making burgers to manager.

I also have several favourite 2view vtubers, but OP is more about top tier where the same people do the same shit for years and the only thing that changes is the amount of zeros in their paychecks and subscriber counts. Even fucking Hollywood discovers new big stars once in several years.

Also, I just thought that high tier consists mostly of cliques that almost never interact with each other if it’s indies or gens for corpos, and if you start watching one person that belongs to such circle at some point, you find yourself subscribed to almost all other members because of collabs, mentions, etc.

>who cares
I find it interesting that vtubing, as a part of the entertainment industry, doesn’t have any new faces in the upper echelons.

doubtful

More like realigning. Big corpos are changing the way they do things. Pro-idols are replacing organic vtubers and the scene is heading back to Japan. News and drama vtubers are taking off and more people are getting on the action. Small inidies are normal as usual, just need to do the leg work and find them. I know it's hard considering the 2 big corpos and the big ex-corpo indies are hogging up 90% of the attention. I just got over them, that's all.

Yikes, good for you anon, I guess. You may eat pag pag or whatever trash it is.

VTubing basically needs another Covid to get everyone stuck indoors at this point. Only thing that would save the industry in the west.
>>
>>113516140
30view??? Someone with ONE HUNDRED OCTILLION VIEWERS? IS THE ENTIRE FUCKING UNIVERSE WATCHING THEM?
>>
>>113515711
>No new faces
Yeah that's what happens when you only watch your favorite corpo and refuse to watch anyone in the vast sea of indies
>>
>>113517607
i’ll be honest, the only indies i sometimes check are those that routinely get threads here

i am not sure how else to filter them all
>>
>>113516052
By now, I prefer the yapping let's be honest, the majority of people are absolute crap when it comes to gaming and not in an entertaining way. I'm talking about basic pattern recognition that seems to fail completely.

This

You are complaining about the scenery not changing looking outside the same window for several years
>>

>It looks like there are no new faces
You're fucking blind, clearly stuck in a corpo bubble, lemme guess hololive?
> and the whole scene is the same people either going corporate or re-debuting as indies.
While harder to spot on youtube, new ones are always popping up, more common on twitch, those "2views" you retards keep shitting on

You're stuck in a bubble blinding you, get out of it, get out of those corpo subreddits, unfollow ninji/holo vtubers, expand your search on twatter to more than "following" and see where your YT reccomended tab takes you, while exploring twitch and its many tabs

They exist, and here you are, being a retard, not giving any of the new ones a chance, find them, and stop being a blind retard

The golden age is well past behind us, that's for sure. But you can still find plenty small~mid chuubas out there. Most of them are quite old by now, Pewhora comes to mind, she can't even do her original laugh anymore because throat hurt.
