Now on the EN side at least they exist in their own bubble, and it's actually fairly rare to see many of them collab with a corpo vtuber on a regular basis. Everyone in VShojo is indie now and still collab with lots of other indies, no one in Nijisanji is worth collabing with, only the biggest Phase girls occasionally collab with them, and Holos only do outside collabs once in a blue moon (on their Holo accounts at least). I've been watching for awhile, and there's never been a time where indies have been so independent from corpos before.
