The case of being the first gen being hired during peak EN boom + Omegatroon's agenda to destroy Hololive. The hiring process, the expectations of the applicants, the filtering, everything was different.

Pulling all their support only superficially looks evil, but the reality is that they should never have gotten it in the first place. They were living on LITERAL welfare, getting insane amounts of content opportunities, staff assigned to them, a fixed salary, etc. all while not generating anything. For years. For YEARS they operated at a loss, leeched off the girls income, all because Fagoo refused to let go of his stupid "pet project" until investors flipped the fuck out.

Holostars was a mistake to begin with and was never going to fit into despite how hard they forced, at all costs, to shill them in your face, even resorting to a temporary "overlap ban" just so no Holo would stream during their shitty 3D debuts (Holofans still didn't watch).
BUT if you're gonna make a project like that anyway the least you could have done is wholly separate it from Hololive, aim for a DIFFERENT demographic (esports-loving normies or whatever, not fucking otaku), adjust resources to be low as fuck accordingly, and then hope for the best. If it flops at least it wasn't a big loss.

Yagoo went to incredible lengths to create unity between Hololive and Holostars despite massive backlash from unicorns and CGDCT fans. If anything his focus on unity likely did a lot of damage to merch sales when it would have made more sense to spin Holostars off as a separate company focused on male idols. The stealth model redesign for Astel, the 2.0 design for Aruran, and the first year model redesign for Vesper is evidence that in most areas the CEO was on their side. The investors were the ones that didn't like HoloPro unity especially after Yagoo torched a huge amount of money on HoloEarth. The 2 big mistakes that Yagoo made was letting the model redesign fights with EN escalate into a full on war (instead of settling the disputes in 2022) and that stockholders lost trust in Yagoo after the Titanic level failure that was HoloEarth.
