I miss the world cup and keep forgetting to miss it. Any vtubers that consistently watch divegrass?
>>113660255Re-linkinking the 1st post. The poll is still open, I've decided to give it until standard cup deadline time (5 hours from now) to close, and then post the results. The answers we've gotten are informative about what the board is leaning towards.https://forms.gle/WSF1axei1fZcRY3s7https://forms.gle/WSF1axei1fZcRY3s7

Alright, poll closed. Here are the results. As it currently stands, there is a supermajority that do not want to see the VTL affect the /vt/ roster besides the usual stadium. There were multiple opinions as to why, which I will address in the next post.
>>113854799The prevailing opinion as to why people voted no is that they said the VTL does not represent /vt/, the board. To elaborate, it was brought up multiple times that voters did not want to see no name players on the team, much more as medals. Paraphrased, people come to watch /vt/ to see Nene, Mint or Lia, not some random bench player the VTL winner sends over as their rep. Leading off that, the problem of zombie teams was brought up, teams where it's just the caretaker propping up a no fan team. They also mentioned that the roster needs to have the shitposters represented in some form, where teams in the VTL do not have players to represent that userbase. Funnily, there was a near even split between people that voiced their opinion on the VTL being too tryhard versus it being not tryhard enough to determine a roster. That's about it. The current plan is to gather players for a proper poll sometime before autumn, then voting for the 23 players then the medals right after. If there's anything else to address I'll do so after this post.
>>113856151Mint is one of the most artificially shilled vtubers on this board.
>>113856151just firmly against vtl becoming tryhard. i like that a lot of the players who have become mainstays on the team are vtubers/memes that have presence in all board events and that is what really makes them /vt/ core imo. kiki, minto, lia, nene, neuro, hfz stuff, joshu, liggerman etc so "the goodness" of board is represented in that wayotherwise, the team would be nothing but rrats, boyfriend reps, and pakis. just mean spirited energy and an anti-team instead of trying to find the little bits of fun and good that exist. i know this is an anti-board at its core, but if that is what we want to send then why bother even having a nasty team.
Well, I'm glad we asked and we can put that what-if to bed forever. Thank you all for voting.
>>113854799Good to see the results
>>113856151How much do you want to bet the poll was raided by faggots from the 4ccg. The vtl absolutely represents the board properly because those not in the vtl are just offboarders from holotower twitter and reddit farming for engagement bait, or they are from other boards trying to shit on vt and make it worse.
>>113856485The vtl is already tryhard you fucking retard. If you even bothered to look at it or behind the curtain even a little you would realize this.
>>113856151>the roster needs to have the shitposters represented in some formThis is LITERALLLY offboard interference from other boards. Pretending otherwise is stupid.
>>113862137>The vtl is already tryhardyeah by one person: TMA. you mutant.
>>113862523Yeah, and he's made the managers tryhard as well because he was tryharding. Or they quit to just be caretakers so the team can be better tryhards.
>>113862588managers dont give a gaf. there is a reason why they never win against the house. tma is statsitically one of the worst 4cc managers of all time D- at best, and his autopilots win every league because that is how dog shit managers in the vtl are
I wish my team's manager stepped down and became caretaker instead so we got the autopilot.
>>113862687They care theyre just not good and tma always gives an edge to the "autopilots" even though they shouldn't get them because that puts them over the managers.
>>113862842when i say "managers dont care" i am not saying they are throwing an intentionally meme export out there. they are acting in good faith pretty much all of the fun teams are managed, but they just are not doing 4cc level minutia that tma is obsessed with (besides twain who up until his fluke run to getting raped last cup had been ass. the amount of days of his life he has spent testing for this and having never won anything should tell you how meaningless managers are compared to handpicked autipilots by the rigger himself)
>>113854799>>113856151Fair results
>>113856416Perhaps. She always received a high number of votes in the poll. The Mint anons are very good at making their voice heard. However, Mint is the one vtuber that I have seen everywhere, in the sense that she is popular with Holofans, indie enjoyers and even general idolshit/anime fans.>>113858733For a while. We'll wait maybe a year, likely 2 to gauge interest again. I don't see the opinion changing but it's still a good idea to see what the general consensus is, even if it was overwhelming this time.>>113856485>>113862137>>113862588>>113862842The VTL from my point of view seems to be amidst a class war between the caretakers and the managers. The benefits of managing are curtailed by the current system in that they don't have the luxury of live management like other leagues. I won't delve deep into the politics, but there is a sect of managers that can be considered the tryhards (be it naturally or as a reaction to the league), and another sect that are, to be blunt, point farms. Dropping my opinion into it: managed teams should regain the advantage over caretaken teams. I'm not a fan of the autos being given nightlies. That's something a manager should have as a benefit.I guess I didn't answer the core question. I don't think the VTL as a whole is tryhard, just that managers are forced to tryhard to survive in a ruleset stacked against them more than other leagues.>>113862098Neither the poll nor thread was linked in /4ccg/. It was linked in the friendlies thread as well as the VTLcord, but I looked over it and noticed nothing unusual after it was posted in VTLcord.I'll answer more questions or expand on what I said in the morning
