She finally got it out of her system or just saw that she was getting shit-tier viewership, idk. Regardless, she now prefers to pretty much just not stream at all other than to shill shit.
To avoid suspicion she also did this weird-ass rebrand of herself now being a super-submissive gooner character (but to other holos, not (you) you otaku chud)
It's essentially a way to farm some views over compelling some of the other more lewder holos to make ASMR content for her to leech, react to and classify (one of her anniversary or birthday streams was literally about her listening to other holos past ASMRs)
She has this thing as well of trying to be le meta exposé chuuba character which half of the time is doing some sort of parody of "look, i'm a disgusting otaku too" and the other half trying to pretend to be doing things that chuubas shouldn't be doing (like pachinko and hostess bars) while having a more combative """honest""" relation with her audience.

I think you are looking at things as negatively as possible. I see her as comparable to someone like Mori, as they both grew to care more about holo over time despite rocky starts. well... since this is the most mid tier post about Laplus' journey, it is up to me to give the almost full story of her stupidity and raise to fame:
Laplus started as the most popular girl in HoloX, not only because she looked like a bratty loli but because when Haachama dissed her she dissed her back with a mixtape and made her admit defeat, that shit was ONE DAY AFTER DEBUT, her debut also was 30 minutes LONG making it a first in Hololive history.
Things were looking great but sadly took a weird turn when she showed us her ulterior motives. This bitch was caught red handed being in a discord group with a bunch of fleshies, not because they were fleshies or males made it look extremely bad, it was because all of those fleshies liked making fun of Hololive and their fans because of the idol culture, so she was basically hanging out with people who hated the people who put food on the table for her, that sparked some outrage, for a long time she was clocking out on so much shit HoloX related that she even missed an anniversary to play with the fleshies, some anons did some work and showed that NotLaplus was streaming rust with them at the time the HoloX anniversary was taking place... that's not all, once she said she was ''really really sick'' and cut stream after like 15 minutes of being on air.... people dug again and HERE was posted that NotLaplus was happily playing rust with the same fleshies and some of her VSPO friends, didn't sound sick at all.
She was caught but at that time people were already giving up on her, she was a fucking lost cause.... BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!! later we found out that NotLaplus was opening her first Vtuber group... while being laplus.... this bitch effectively was the definition of grifting, luckily her plan went nowhere and it got disbanded pretty quickly, after that and only after that she decided to go all out on Holo.
So yeah, all those things people acuse Chloe of being for fucking off to stream with her sister, Laplus did blalantly.
