Hello 4chan, kaigainikis. A jp here. I hate to say this, but the announcement about merging made hours ago doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. While it may be idealistic to give all holomens equal opportunities regardless of their first language, in practical terms, whether viewers can understand the language being spoken is a critical issue in this real-time streaming market. Grouping by language has been serving as a helpful guide, especially for newcomers to our community. Another point I’d like to make is that, regardless of whether they are separated or not, collaborations or whatever between the branches have already taken place numerous times until now in the first place, which makes me wonder what additional benefits this would bring.If the main purpose of this merger is to resolve management issues or something, there shouldn't be any need to change brand names and take risk of making confusion or (perhaps even) driving viewers away.
