I think all these concerns for the merge can be easily solved by holo making an official unit of HoloEN (15 members) and HoloID (9 members) much like hoshimatic or Holotori. The branch and management is still essentially dissolved, but the legacy can still live on with the unit.

For a very long time, there was a constant murmur from people of an merger in Hololive - most, including me, thought this was nonsense.I like to think back to the statement that an ANYCOLOR staff made about NijiEN - that NijiEN serves a difference audience. Unlike NijiEN, HoloEN and ID does serve a different audience, which is even more bizarre that a merger is happening in the first place.But there it is. It's a merger. It is the biggest shake-up in Hololive history and pretty much in the history of VTubers in general. Of course, not much would change - this is definitely a soft merger, but it's still a merger. Hololive is hiding behind their explicit want to appeal to outside.Oh, I would need an FAQ - Holostars are not included because Holostars were never part of Hololive, this is the same reason MekPark is not subjected to a merger. Basically Cover is cleaning up the mess of the branches that was part of the Hololive banner. In that sense, this feels more like the 2018 Merger than the 2022 Merger, although it feels like the latter. Result is probably closer to the former than the latter as well.
