However, once you are a successful 3-view or 4-view, there's no need to join Hololive unless that is actually your ultimate goal.The big issue with indies is self-handling merchandise, promotions, sponsors, convention appearances, and all that. However, as shown by the recent merchandise scandals, fans of the vtubers will put up with all of that, delays, scams, cancellations, chargebacks, it doesn't matter. They will continue donating and buying merchandise because they really want to support their oshis. Building a rabid fanbase is the most important thing that indies could do.
I know this is an impossible concept for the hologoy to realize but not every single woman with an anime avatar on the internet is doing what she's doing to get into hololive
