I don't know how it died since it was eating fine. its like its tiny body couldn't contain its soul. maybe something killed it since its face was kind of fucked. I've buried like 9 or 10 over the past few years. That's not counting the many many cats that died out of my sight of course since they tend to go off on their own when they get sick. There are several strays that I practically raised that want to follow me everywhere, which scares me because I walk down the highway everyday and have to distract them long enough so that they don't follow me into traffic. The first cat that died in front of me was a pretty grey cat I called Kamikaze because she showed up days after a hurricane wrecked my house. Years later on an especially hot day she was really weak and couldn't be bothered to stand up to even drink water. The next morning I found her by my backdoor being eaten alive by ants while she was still breathing. They only targeted her paw beans for some reason. I spent a couple of hours with her lifeless body in my lap, afraid to leave her to get eaten alive and also trying to coax water into her. I cried like a bitch when she stopped breathing. That was the one time I've had an animal die in my arms and also the only time I've cried for reasons unrelated to physical pain or anger
