And I know some anons might feel hurt from how filian left us. But at the same time I think it might be nice if we develop a culture where we celebrate Manta for who she is, and try not to bring up filian too much. I think it would be a shame if the thread became dedicated to bashing filian or comparing Manta to filian, instead of discussing all the ways Manta is cute, cool, and fun in her own right. That's just my own two cents though.

But Manta is indeed her own distinct character. It's a funny gag to call her Sedentary Filian, and desu I think she's not as hurt by it as some other people could find it invalidating but it's already time for us to start looking for and adopt the "Mantaisms" and culture that faithfully reflects Manta, so that even if people get brought here by the Filian jokes they can see something substantial and authentic to stay for.I have to admit though that I was never as emotionally invested in Filian as many other people seem to be, so I can't say I fully understand that, but I can respect it.
