For every 5 you get one bonus, so 1000 gifted subs would be 200 bonus ones by default but whether it would give any more might be based on a singular gacha chance or on 200 of them (1 chance every 5) but who knows. I saw a 100 earlier that got only 28 bonus, which is the normal 20 plus 8 extra, but did they get 1 extra bonus on 8 out of the 20 pulls or did they get all 8 on 1 of those 20 pulls? No idea.

It does seem to favor a trigger chance for every 5 subs and each trigger chance is independent of the previous 5 increment.
