After half a year streaming on youtube, I can conclude:
± The tags don't seem to matter for the streams, maybe for the discoverability of the VODs they have weight, but even then almost no VOD ever did better than a pure video.
± The category, particularly the chosen game when gaming, does most of the heavylifting when just starting out. Some games gave me +10CCV on the youtube side, and some literally zero besides my followers watching me and really the game.
± While the miniature seems to matter, at the same time it's sort of insignificant.
± The people, viewers, are actually far more willing to do the transition from one platform (youtube) to the other (twitch), I actually think the advice about the viewers not wanting to move platforms is outdated, I have I think a 50% ratio of convertion from yourube to twitch. But I can't say the same from twitch to youtube... Why do my twitch viewers don't give me a chance on youtube too... Man...

you could see: roller bar mouse, trackball mouse, even some vertical mouses.
all of these come in with built-in special buttons assigned to them and only them.
if you dont want those because changing from mouse-type is daunting: try to learn some coding, and change the set keys of your mouse to the unassigned keys that are left by the operating systems for such cases (like click4, click5, the special keys like ñ or ç) so that you can assign these to your mouse
if not that, get a second keyboard, BUT buy a chinese type of keyboard, that will help with the inputs thing (but wont at all help with your issue of versatility obviously)

I don't think anyone has had their careers stalled by a bad first stream. The worst that happens is that viewers decide to never return, but that happens all the time regardless.

Ok the rest of the replies wasn’t me, the issue with bandaids is that my mom will notice and question what happened, same for my colleagues.
