I was watching Malice Evermore's latest stream and she mentioned meeting Bibi Biscuit and Eepy Sleepy two days ago. They were obviously recording something together, but why didn't they do an off-collab stream? At least with Bibi Biscuit since Eepy Sleepy was sick. I know sometimes when the talents meet up, they do stream like when Bibi Biscuit and Chisaka Airi did somewhat recently. But why does it not happen more often when the talents will talk about meeting in real life? I would prefer an actual reason other than something like "They hate eachother."

Preparing offcollab means prepare apartments to host everyone, setup hardware and everyone have to book at least 2 hours of their time. Or just meet at the cafe with tasty food and have a good talk without thinking constantly what are you saying.

Uruka and Lia used to be the main drivers of Phase off collabs since 2021 thru about 2023, but they cooled on it unless they are recording and they have to shill a concert. They still hang out monthly and travel together hell last month them and Pippa spent a weekend together and made no mention of it as stream content outside of a tweet that Pippa nearly killed them in her new sports car. They were all in Japan 2 months ago for 2 weeks just on vacation it seems and not a single off collab, but they were together doing tourist stuff.Bibi and Malice have spent loads of IRL quality time with Uruka, Lia, Pippa etc over the last year+, but very few if any off collabs because I recon they would rather just hang out and go do stuff with them as normal people and not be bogged down with yuri baiting or stuff like "chyat the warehouse chyat i saw Jellys panties uwu" that stuff is fine enough early on, but when it is years into it it is kinda cringe
real closeness in vtubing is when you hangout and arent doing it just to make content out of itbibi and lia are very close and by my estimation spent weeks together in person over the last few years dating back to 2024, but have only been on stream together 1 time.
