I think you are confusing a lack of discipline with being lazy. Elira is willing to exert endless amounts of effort into stuff she actually enjoys doing like the actual streaming part of streaming. the PD in the first District V was a lot more chill I can't blame people for thinking it'd be the same way this time.

I feel like part of it is that they're doing it way too early, on top of the PD having so much more to learn this time around and server issues. It's been a bit dry for me with how seriously it's taken though.

finana's introduction to her character was literally "i'm going to do more serious RP this time, i understand this might not be like my usual content and it's okay if you choose to sit it out"
elira's entire reason for joining the PD was because she felt horrible about the PD in DV1 being super stressed all the time (because of difficult RP situations, largely) so i cannot in good conscience call the DV1 PD "chill" in general
really the only two things they were surprised by were the frequency and intensity of "bubbles" this time around, which is much worse than DV1 and is the main source of stress, and the constant threat of starvation/thirst. but neither of those are under their control, or part of the RP for that matter
