After a mediocre 2025 campaign by the wiseguys, which featured 2 round of 16 exits with -2 GD, it was decided that a change was needed. This change would come not only in the form of tactics, but also in personnel. /wsg/ said farewell to 8 players, 2 of them being the remaining players from the original roster in Duane and Deal With It. In their place, 8 new players arrived. And in the place of the old tactics, a new strategy was developed: This strategy featured Gold Captain Ricardo Milos playing a supporting role as an SS to the silver CF in You Should Kill Yourself... Now! These new players and this new strategy seemed promising behind the scenes, and it would be every bit necessary as /wsg/ was placed into a challenging group stage featuring cup-hosting /sp/, giant-killer /i/, and a /gd/ running a strategy that few people were used to. Against the knuckleballers of /gd/, /wsg/ were able to break out to a commanding 4-1 lead, but almost choked it away by the end of the match, which drew concerns from many. These concerns were further supported as /wsg/ fell to the ever-strong cup hosts in /sp/ in a 2-4 loss. Although the art/i/sts ironically only needed a draw to promote over /wsg/, the wiseguys were able to defy the expectations placed onto the giant-killers and were able to take home a 3-2 victory with a MOTM performance behind the brace of You Should Kill Yourself... Now! /wsg/ confirmed themselves elite once more, bringing the streak of successful elite group stage promotions to 6, however /wsg/ were looking to do more than simply make the knockouts then lose in a multi-goal loss in the Round of 16 again.

History repeated itself as /wsg/ found themselves matched up against /aco/ in a face-off that had shades of the Round of 16 of the 2024 Summer Cup, the very cup that /wsg/ earned their star in. Fueled by the memories of past successes and recent failures, /wsg/ took control in the second half and confirmed themselves a dominant 3-1 victory. Finally getting past the struggles of the Round of 16, /wsg/ carried that momentum into their quarterfinals match with the defensive-powerhouse of /vm/ and walked away with a 2-1 victory at eggsdra dime. This set up a very challenging final 4 which featured /sp/ vs /b/ and /wsg/ vs /pw/. After a grueling 1-1 match which featured a Ricardo Milos Goal of the Tournament, /wsg/ was unable to secure their last benuldie kick from I Drive and eventually fell after only scoring 9 of 11 attempts. Perhaps with some feelings of defeat, /wsg/ faced off once more against /sp/ in the 3rd place match, and rather than learning from their mistakes in the first face-off, they proceeded to lose even harder with a 0-3 final score ending their scoring streak in the process. GODDAMMIT.

Despite the lackluster finish, there were several highlights to the cup. In addition to finally getting past the Round of 16 for the first time since winning the star, /wsg/ was able to win several of the auties in the form of Best Overall Aesthetics, Best Chant with Schizo Hotline, and Goal of the Tournament from Ricardo Milos' Sombrero-Volley combo. However, these individual accolades were never the goal for /wsg/. The wiseguys, fueled by weird tactics and a roster with new players making up a 3rd of the team, are ready to make another run at the star in the 2026 Summer Cup.

To Be Continued - Despite being an outdated meme, TBC stepped up to fill the starting GK position. TBC is the first player on the team to play in the outfield and in the net.
WTF Is This Real? - A dancing cat, how? Keep, silver candidate imo.
Why Are You Gay? - Who says I'm gay? You are gay. I've waffled on him a bit, but I like him as our starting CB.
E - Tiny Farquaad model as a CB, hilarity ensues.
Look At Him Go! - Got a new model a while back, that funny walking bear is looking really good now. Keep.
Did He Died? - To this day it's still a classic reply to ANY rekt image be it a puppy falling over or actual fucking gore, this is prime 4chan real estate that we've reclaimed and I hope we can keep it that way. Promote to silver.
I Drive - Ryan Gosling, a rising start on the team, already a candidate for silver for his model alone.
Chinese Steel Worker - Somehow survives the worksite only to be killed by a rogue truck tire while on break. Still a silver candidate but he's had his time in the sun imo.
You Should Kill Yourself… Now! - If LTG's momentum continues he may ascend to gold medal status, I MEAN THAT WITH 100%, WITH 1000%!
Gondola - Need I say more? Goldola.
Ricardo Milos - Our captain, still widely posted. Keep as gold.

MULTI-TRACK LISTENING - Not really much to say about this player but I believe it's one of the only original memes of /wsg/ on the team, which is probably why you guys vote it so high, also who doesn't like eurobeat?
[UNINTELLIGIBLE] - You know they say all men are created equal. But you look at me and you look at the other players on the roster and you can see that statement is NOT TRUE.
Van Darkholme - Gachimuchi rep. Former /f/ player that now has a home on /wsg/.
The "Burger" King - You know, the guy on the plane who called that nigger bitch a nigger. Scored a goal in the infamous match vs. /w/ despite being a DMF. Keep.
Obligatory 9/11 Thread - We did it we recruited the actual twin towers to play for the team and they definitely made an impact on the team, winning the Best Model award at one point. Silver candidate.
