I know no one is going to read this, but this thread is so positive and beautiful it’s given me the push I need. I feel like I need to leave 4chan, and the internet in general. Not to live in blissful ignorance of the negatives of the world, but there's so much out there I want to experience, and I'll never do it if I continue to sit in front of a screen viewing it second hand. My life's been full of ups and downs, I was such a positive happy kid but that started to change around 14. I started using drugs, alcohol, porn, started going on 4chan and Rotten and all the negative parts of the internet. I started to be overly concerned with what others thought, I dulled myself and put dampers on what I thought I could do and achieve.Now I'm in my early 30s, left a long-term relationship with the girl I thought I’d spend the rest of my life with, spent time in the psych ward after a suicide attempt and have been struggling to get back into the swing of life. More than anything I don't want to be alone anymore, all my best friends have left the city we grew up in due to insane house prices (Sydney) and I’ve found it hard to make friends again, I haven't had sex in years and the lack of physical touch is getting to me, shit I haven’t even had a good hug in ages.The internet is so negative in general nowadays and it’s dividing people so much but I feel hopeful for humanity, and I’d like to spread positivity for once in my life, so that’s what I’m going to do.Good luck anons, you kept me company during some dark years but I need to go, good times friend ahead.
