Basically it takes any group of people and plots their specific genome in terms of relatedness to another, and as you can see from it that group (who either self identifies or can demonstrate their ancestry) cluster together as you would expect, while those that aren't are distant from them. The same thing would occur if you started with Asians and then went on to plot Whites and Blacks.
