But if we are talking about the variety and what a model can do then yes the "quality" is better because the model is more advanced. Who is going to wait over half an hour for a 10 or 15 sec gen when LTX has already done 5? LTX and Wan have celeb Loras and LTX can do the audio and do 20 sec or longer gens. H3 obviously let's people gen far beyond what Wan or LTX can do.

Now an argument could be made that the 720p of LTX is no where near what a 720p on minimax would be and of course LTX2.3 being a distilled model at 8 steps meant the quality was altered downwards for speed. I can certainly imagine if say 8 step model of minimax is released then a little of the quality will be gone, however if 720p is in range for say a 5060ti 16gb (the card I use) then it would make things really take off.

For a film to be genned you probably only need a few creative people who can manage what rules the models is going to use and oversee what is being genned. And of course it will gen numerous takes. Then AI can be used to stich and take over the editing with again humans overseeing things. I don't think 1 person has the skill to man manage a full length movie to the same standard because they lack the skill in knowing all aspects of what goes into a movie.

You don't need 13 mins to see if something is better. You already know that if the 30 secs or minute was extended out to 13 mins it would laugh in the face of any slop. With minimax it's pretty obvious that people are going to try to make more of an effort to make longer videos. Wan and LTX were too cumbersome due to the errors it made, failed gens or generic feeling ones. At the end of the day it's down to the creative ideas and that AI TV slop movie was lacking in that.
