I still don't know what actually separates an evangelical from anything else. If I go off some definitions I heard which it's a belief in a really specific interpretation of the book of Revelation where if you do certain things the world will fucking end and that'll be great, mostly starting from a (((biased))) translation called the Scholfield Bible...Then where the fuck are all these people? They've got to be fudging their numbers to count a fuckton of people who don't actually believe that, either actively rejecting that, or belonging to congregations where the leadership says they teach that but actually no it's just the same vague directionless platitudes you hear in every church every single week, but don't know they're getting counted anyway. Or, they're not even really religious at all and are still getting counted for one reason or another. Or most of them are in Africa and no one cares about them. Obviously political parties draw heavily from these groups. I'm not saying they're not important. It's very important to the state of Israel to have a cult of people who think that God wants Israel to be the way that it is. I just think they're really exaggerating to make us scared of calling that bullshit out.

I was raised by evangelicals. They are retarded.
>>6210487Would you mind telling us what exactly separates an evangelical from the rest? Because for the longest time I thought it was just any Christian who was...actually willing to talk about it.
