It's a little morbid, they just filmed the bridge for days and waited for people to throw themselves off of it. I can't remember if it was mentioned in the documentary itself or if it was something I read tangentially to it but most people think that you hit the water and that kills you, but in most cases what actually happens is you hit the water and it breaks all your bones and then you either drown or die of exposure.Don't throw yourself off the Golden Gate Bridge anons, it's not worth it.

It's an impulsive, irrational decision and if you can break the chain of that decision even slightly the vast majority of people back off and reconsider. Speaking in generalizations here, obviously.
