Divers dove to dangerous destinations and died in darkness.

If I remember right this particularly was a deceptively dangerous blue hole type place that was actually more along the lines of cave diving. Basically you end up in big open caverns instead of just a wide and deep but mostly uncovered vertical shaft. Divers would go down and if they had issues like hypoxia, oxygen toxicity, the bends, or other such things they were pretty much guaranteed to be fucked. The difficulty of a recovery dive in such a place also makes it typically not worth trying to recover bodies. The signage used in many places to dissuade inexperienced cave divers is brutal for a reason.

Pretty sure what got most of the divers in the webm was hypoxia and/or oxygen toxicity.

Depending on the time of day, the light changes.
