I was a deckhand on a bow picker in the Prince William Sound for 2 summers (2014 and 2015). It didn't pay that great, but I could have found a regular job on a tender and then get on with a crabber in the winter. Not really something I'd want to do while married to be honest. The pay is very luck dependent.
