>Main characters go from enemies to lovers or at least they fall in love despite not having anything in common>Love triangle>Main guy needs to have a little sister>The characters need to be deep and not just "Generic Pretty Guy/Girl #183737"Go!
>>1564946Forgot to mention but it can also be a manhwa/manhua or a light novel/web novel.
>>1564946Not meeting your nonsense requirements, but the Polar Opposites anime was fucking excellent. Recommended to anybody that doesn't mind romance
>>1564948Hmm.. I don’t like "nerdy" main guys. I don't like "chad" main guys either, the main guy has to be normal, average.
>>1564950Cool story bro, what does it have to do with the price of tea in China?
>>1564946I'm guessing those are just examples of tropes you are looking for in your romance stories. You don't need your story to have all of those at once, right? (I'm sure there's something out there that does have all of those at once.)>>1564947>Forgot to mention but it can also be a manhwa/manhua or a light novel/web novel.I assume you are also fine with western webcomics as long as its got a similar art style.
Do you only want straight romance, or are you fine with yaoi or yuri as well?
>>1564970Yeah, sure, give me your best.>>1564972Straight only.
Hooky may be interesting for you. But I’m not completely sure. Its a good comic anyways though. This came to mind because there was a thread about where an anon was trying to find a place to read it: >>1564755It’s about 2 twin witch kids, a boy and a girl, who miss their school bus. Dorian and Dani.No the protagonist twins love interests are not each other. It’s not that kinda comic. It’s not a very romance focused comic and it’s somewhat kid friendly (though there are darker parts). But from what I remember their love interests play a significant role in the story. They’re not minor characters.
>>1564979it’s usually a good idea to mention that in the OP.In my case, it’s not that big a deal though. I think most of the romance focused (or adjacent) comics I know about have the protagonists or leads be in a straight couple, so that doesn’t cut out too much of what I can post. There’s definitely some with side characters who are gay couples, but in my opinion that doesn’t make a comic Yaoi or yuri (and the same would apply in the opposite situation).
I haven't read any of the stuff in this thread yet, but there may be something of interest for you: >>1560456
Bump
While it doesn't tick every box, Kaguya-Sama: Love is War gets pretty close. It's a pretty popular, series, so you may have already seen it. The only thing it doesn't have is an overt love triangle, but those are stupid.
>>1565060Already read that one.
>>1565060>While it doesn't tick every box, Kaguya-Sama: Love is War gets pretty closeI could be wrong, but I thought he just listed examples of tropes he would like in his romance. I dont think he was expecting something to hit all those tropes at once, but rather he wanted something that wasn't just generic romance.
Useless fucking board, not a single good recommendation so far...
>>1565108Do they have to meet all your requirements?
>>1565112Like uh does it have to have an enemies to lover, and a love triangle and a little sister in a single show?
>>1565112>>1565113The little sister is essential, every good romance has a little sister, the rest is optional.
>>1565115shit that actually makes things a lot harderlol
>>1564946I’m gonna post a bunch of recs a little while later as they come to mind. I’d appreciate it if you tell us what you think of the stuff that I’ll post in the thread (and what other people posted).Caveat is that some stuff will be more focused on romance as a central theme than others and some will be darker than others. There’s gonna be a pretty wide variety in tone.
>>1565119Go on, I like OreGaIru, Kaguya, Oshi no Ko, Sangatsu no Lion.
An autist gets a doctor prescribed catgirl GF (who is probably also autistic). >An epidemic of loneliness, shut-ins and social isolation has swept the entire world, primarily affecting young men. With internet addiction, romantic rejection, and other forms of self-imposed social isolation deemed as medical conditions, corporations eventually sought out a solution inspired by online forums of the afflicted: genetically engineered super companions, or "cat girls." https://www.webtoons.com/en/drama/cat-girl/list?title_no=8737If you use /co/, you probably already know this one. Probably a little on the darker side. Art style may or may not be for you.
A lot of stuff on webtoons has an arbitrarily applied age gate. If you don't want to login to webtoons, you can easily get around that age-gate on desktop by doing the following.>When you get to this pop up (as shown in pic related), click "Yes" then quickly press the "Esc" key on your keyboard.>Pressing the Esc key stops the page from reloading and taking you to the login page. The pop up will disappear and you can continue reading if you are using the "uBlock Origin" browser addon, you can filter the popup. albeit You might need to add something to your filters:https://old.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/1olp7cl/webtoons_viewer_discretion_login_nag/
>Sparks fly when bumbling Prince Vain meets the enemy kingdom's royal blacksmith, Valka Voima. He might be visiting to broker peace, but that's all about building relationships, right? If only Valka would actually talk to him... Lucky for Vain, after a world-shaking theft threatens the fragile treaty between their kingdoms, the starcrossed Smity and Majesty are stuck on a run together! Will they be able to survive the shenanigans headed their way, or will they kill each other first?https://www.webtoons.com/en/comedy/smity-and-majesty/episode-1/viewer?title_no=2706&episode_no=1In case it's not obvious, the green haired blacksmith and the blonde prince are the romantic interests of eachother. haven't read this in a while. It's fairly lighthearted from what I remember.
Going to sleep. Probably will post some more tomorrow
