Around the Vita era, I played a PS1/PSP action RPG on my Playstation TV.It was 3D and I think you had a party of characters following you around. I think it was a kind of generic fantasy RPG with the first areas being a forest or cave. I believe it was mission-based, too, where you'd go to a guild and select whatever missions they had from a list. I remember some missions would reward you with high-level allies, which I thought was overkill until I got walled by a boss with a massive hammer that would hit the entire arena no matter how far away you were.I thought it was one of the free games Sony gave away, but I've looked for any other than the PSN outage freebies and I can't find any.Other than that, all I know is that it has 3 or 4 games in the series and the latest one has extremely anime/boobie characters compared to the first(?) game, which was much more fantasy-looking.I would appreciate any help in finding this game.
After checking through a bunch of stuff, I think the game is Valhalla Knights. I even looked it up and it seems the first game was given out for free a couple weeks before Valhalla Knights 3 came out.And the arenas for fights looks very familiar. I thought I just remembered that one boss with the hammer's arena being circular, but I guess that's just how every enemy encounter worked.
I was thinking Ys 6 or 7
>>1567182I actually did play Ys 7 very, very briefly during that time period, so you weren't completely wrong.
