So I've had a laptop with a 1TB HDD, got a 4TB external HDD, and recently got a dedicated desktop with a 1TB. When I got all three, I was running windows, but I've since changed both the laptop and desktop to linux and I know part of the conversion process is nuking the HDD to start fresh. If I wanted to swap out the 1TB in my desktop with the 4TB, would I also have to nuke the contents of the 4TB?
Use the assumption I'm going whole hog because what's the point of partitioning when the whole goal of switching to linux was getting away from microslop.
