I want to read the Highschool DxD Light Novel.Should I read Yen Press or the Baka-Tsuki translation?I read a bit of the Baka-Tsuki translation but the prose is very rough. It's like I get dumber as I read along it. However, I heard that Baka-Tsuki has a more accurate translation.Yen-Press' translation is much better to read and is professionally edited, but I heard it's not as accurate as the Baka-Tsuki version. It also refers the terms and phrases differently.Which one is better? Or does the accuracy matter all that much?
i only have experience in the yen press, and ive only read vol 1 and 2, as far as im aware the translation defers only as far as changing some swears so issei says shit and stuff, and some jokes, but it is nothing like the sub to dub, the tone of the story and characters are basically the same, i wouldnt bother with a shitty translation.
