>>1571810Parasyte: The Maxim, Death Note (You've probably already seen this one, but just recommending it in case you haven't), FLCL (This is a Gainax production, and it's a pretty wacky one but overall a great coming of age story), Akira, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Getter Robo Armageddon (I know it's an older one but it's up their as one of THE animes I recommend to people, if you like it you should watch the other Getter OVAs). Some of these have fantasy elements, and some are even downright bizarre. I tried to keep it shonen free and fairly tame, but I am aware that some of these animes may not fit your preferences. I recommended all of these because I think they fit your requirements enough to mention them, and I think all of these are fuckin great animes, but you probably want to research them before watching them
