Essentially modern day supernatural stuff, ideally less goofy and more serious, though I'm not opposed to shounen if it's good.

Haven't kept up with it recently but mysterious disappearances was pretty good and fit your criteria, although it has quite a bit of fanservice.
Mieruko chan is a little less serious but is also really good
