Episode 1 of The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War (aka Season 1.5) is titled "The Dark Dream Begins" (黒き夢のはじまり)I've avoided watching it for about 9 years now because titles like that freak me out, and I developed a sort of OCD thing about not watching it, that's only gotten stronger with time.I'm trying to work up and just watch it, and one way is to research it to see what the titular "Dark Dream" (originally "黒き夢") even is. The thing is I can't find any reference to it in the plot; only the episode title. There's a chapter in the Prisoners of the Sky manga titled "Awakening of the Black Dream" (黒き夢の目醒め) using the same kana "黒き夢," but this time translated as "Black Dream" instead of "Dark Dream." That's all I can find."黒き夢" mainly seems to be related to Chrono Trigger.Has the title been an absolute nothingburger unrelated to anything in the show this entire time? That's all I can find.>"黒き夢" mainly seems to be related to Chrono Trigger.it's just older japanese word conjugation to sound formal and atmospheric and coolit's difficult to understand what upsets you about the title, but it just refers to a "bad event", nothing more. that's why it shows up in other works as well. it's all unrelated. just an artistic way to say "this bad event" arrived upon by multiple different works separately.I watched the episode just to confirm it so you don't get traumatized. it is quite literally nothing. SOL episode with mild "story progression" about Ban's past at the end. the summary you can read of wikipedia describes entirely what happens. nobody is talking about "the dark dream" because it's not actually a thing. again, it's just metaphorical language for "a negative event is oncoming"go ahead and watch it and hopefully you can put the anxiety and fear behind youhope this helps
