Persona 2 Innocent Sin for the PSP. Gameplay can result in mashing the X button repeatedly, there are battles almost every second with its huge encounter rate, but the story is really good and surprisingly has great world building. I also highly recommend its direct sequel Persona 2 Eternal Punishment. There now exists an english translation for the PSP port which is much better.
