How bad is living in an appartment if it is 5 meters away from a busy road? I've lived here for like 5 months and as if have gotten noticeably cognitively impaired. It is only the 5th floor, I can physically smell the fumes.

It's the worst. Way too many ghetto trash not only living there but driving by on the busy road blasting their loud ghetto bass. Get out as soon as your lease is up. Try to rent a house next time if possible, but I know it's not always possible and they're more selective. Regardless you could try rolling the dice on another apartment, but they're all kinda ghetto. Well, you didn't say what country you're from. But here in the United States, apartments are all ghetto.
