I'm trying to write a solo for this section but I can't tell the time signatures and it's throwing me off because I can't hit the beats. I tried counting in different measures: 5/4, 3/4, tabbing out the snare and kick in an attempt to transcribe the part but no joy. 70 bpm shouldn't be far off.

Sounds like 4/4 then 5/4, repeat.

>70 bpm
>the delivered sample is more like 140 musically

It overall sounds like 4/4 5/4 4/4 5/4 4/4 5/4 where the recorded passage Starts with the last 1/4 beat of the actual last 5/4 bar, assuming it's a loop.

It makes more sense if you can edit

(what the fuck just happened)

It makes more sense if you can edit the starting note back to it's respective last bar of the passage.

I mean the whole thing just sounds like it needs that, based on what you posted.

I can never understand time signatures, the term means nothing to me.

The absolutely most of the people in the whole World are like that.

Then again, everyone in the World feels it when their feet suddenly start stomping.

You can look at the same song in different tempos. Here the snare is in 70bpm, the guitars and hihats at 140
