I work in an office and I often have people send me a picture of their ID, but since people are so fucking stupid they can't follow a simple instruction like "take a picture straight down" so more often than not they send me a picture with perspective issues (like in pic related). Is there any way to convert it so it's a rectangle again? I also know the rectangle must have a ratio of 1.5740740 (IDs in my country are exactly 8.5cm x 5.4 cm) so obviously I need to preserve this ratio. I downloaded GIMP because I figured it should be able to do the job but I'm at a loss since I don't have experience editing images.
>>1572737>"take a picture straight down"didn't make sense to me, then when I saw your picture I immediately understood, consider using pictures to describe what you mean in the instructions. Try using the photos app on your phone to fix it, I have used that to fix a tilted shot before
can't you just crop it to the correctly-sized rectangle?
>>1572737Crop and resize, its possible but will fuck up ratios, rather change the input of users by better instruct them how to take the bigture
>>1572737>I downloaded GIMP becauseBecause it's a good program that does what you want with a few clicks with the perspective tool, here's the first video that turned up on Google https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PxTir9H0l8Q
I have no clue how to use GIMP but I use paint.net with this addon when I need to do thishttps://forums.paint.net/topic/111622-distort-this-v210-dec-27-2021/
