Anyone knows what these statues supposed to represent? They have been destroyed in WW2.They were made by Gottfried Knoeffel, a Dresden guy and I looked up all of his work available online already. I know the statue on the left is Mercury because there's a very similar one to this one at Schloss Altdöbern by the same artist. We can easily infer from the wine cup held to the sky and vines that the guy on the right is Bacchus. However the two statues in the middle is anyone's guess. This was a Bruehl palace, similar to the one in Augustusburg but today it's a pile of bricks, it used to be the Bruehl family residence.
>>1573124it's possible that the one on the right isn't bacchus/dionysus but rather silenus and the one next to him might be hermaphroditus since they are commonly depicted together and that's usually the only time silenus is depicted in his youth
