>>1573763Started with the Spotify algorithm years ago, then moved to bandcamp and soundcloud where the more niche artists live. I do not use Soundcloud's algorithms, but artists sometimes repost other people's music on there. On bandcamp there is the "fans also bought" section at the bottom of any album. But the most common way for me is listening to compilations and checking out artists I like.The above works for very well for electronic music and might work for other genres, but you probably need to be already familiar with the genre in order to really benefit. For genres I'm unfamiliar with, I unironically chat with gemini to get initial suggestions, because it can adjust if I don't like them. You could also use RYM for bootstrapping if you hate clankers.
